News from Roberta Bronson Fitzpatrick, Associate Director, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey
The UMDNJ - George F. Smith Library of the Health Sciences is soliciting your feedback on its Network Statewide ILL Services program.
The statewide library services programs began in the early 1990s with two goals:
- To provide the residents of New Jersey with access to medical andhealth-related information and library materials available in a medical library collection but which are not available in their local library; and
- To provide backup information and interlibrary loan services to hospital libraries and to physicians and dentists who are unable to have their information needs met in their local library.
Our objective is to handle ILL requests for books, photocopies, and faxes of medical and health-related materials for the New Jersey Library Network, JerseyCAT members, and from libraries that are members of the New Jersey Library Network. If we are unable to fill a request, we will refer it to the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NN/LM) via the DOCLINE system.
In order to serve your needs better, we would appreciate your comments. A link to a survey is provided below; it is brief and should take no longer than five minutes to complete.
