GOT GRANTS?
Would you like to have the information, skills, and tools essential to writing project proposals that lead to grant funding?
In this time of increased competition for limited financial resources from grant makers, understanding how to write a winning proposal is crucial. Grant writing is a skill: one needs to learn what works and how to make it work. After this workshop you will:
-
The Elements of Excellent Proposals
-
How to design a project to submit for funding
-
Evaluation Methods
-
How to writing the proposal: What does it look like and how do you accomplish it?
We will also cover:
- Finding appropriate resources for funding.
- The “musts” of project budgeting and budget presentation.
- The review process (so you can “keep the reviewer in
mind” while
writing.) - Common mistakes to avoid.
Participants are encouraged to bring to the workshop a
project for which they might seek to secure funding, as there will be time to
apply what we’ve learned to some of your “real life” visions. And, of course,
there will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.
